Interests: I love Truth and taking the marrow out of life. I live for intense, hard reality. Fortuantely this includes awesome fun randomness. Like marco polo in walmart at 3 a.m. other than that there's the typical art/writing/music/interpetive dance combo that everyone seems so keen on. And broomball with the guys until two in the morning. I love philosophy and literature and being a Libertarian
Expertise: I do pretty well at articulating myself, and staying straight edge. Also I play some mad cranium and risk. bored games are definately underrated, and are a wonderful substitute for pot and the like. I'm really good at cranking out literary critique papers, and I'm also really good at interviewing.

Pretty Deep
By Tanya Donelly

It has been so long since I last updated that I forgot how to make a new one of these things...weblog.

Wow, this format has changed.

Here is my life in some words that I thought of:

I really love swimming, I love water a lot.  I really am listening to what it says I'm listening too. Tanya Donelly is resonating.

I really like Xanga.  Facebook is ok for counting your friends, but Xanga let's me speak words.

I'm an English Literature and Philosophy major, and I'll probably get a minor in something too.  Then go to grad school.  I'm a teaching assistant next year for our western civilization class.

I learned many things this year.  I the ones I can think of are: Friends are worth a lot.  Tell the truth.  Study.  Don't study too much. Go for the knees in broomball. Badgers make good pets.  White Castle tastes good if your really hungry.  Don't be afraid to look foolish, you probably already do.

I work at Target this summer, and I'm not very content with it.  Well that's about all I've got for you.  Here's a fact:

The Worlds Tallest Structure is in North Dakota.  As if I didn't already have enough ND pride.

Peace yo,

The First College Update

I am in College now dear xanga users.

who still even uses xanga?  Well, I do.  I don't like myspace.
But I do have a facebook.  I caved in.  So if you want to be my friend, I'm cool with that.
Sometimes I put myspace and facebook together into a super hip web site called myface.  or space book.
Either way people think I'm clever instead of laughing at my poor speaking skills.

The best thing about college: probably my clik-clak.  You all have to come and visit it.  And the fact that our floor is co-ed.  I really like co-ed.

The worst thing about college:  Sodexho, our food provider.  My mom must be an amazing cook, because I am just not picking up what they are laying down.  second worst thing: the chastity couches.  although everytime you sit down you get to say 'chastity' like you're swearing....cause it's so darn uncomfortable.

I like it here.  To be sure I am now aware that West Fargo is the best city ever. I have decided to live there I like it so much.  Although I really like it here too.  Just not as much in Fargo.

I am making friends, despite the thought that I wasn't going to.  And they do have a frolf course on campus.

I really like this alot.  I really like the community....

Peace, I still miss you all so much.  sometimes I feel lame, but it's true, I miss you.

Say goodbye, Say goodbye to Hollywood

Another Eminem allusion.

I shall be leaving West Fargo, it's occupants, and it's beutiful wooded lands and streams. I like to call it hollywood becuase I know everyone.  that's a poor if not moot metaphor.

I have a laptop I call by "Sylvia", and sometimes just Sylvie.  She's a Toshiba. I got it today.  I'm wretched with computers. I hope to make tech saavy friends whilst staying in St. Paul.

I was docked in a Psychology paper for using the word 'whilst' once.  The teacher told me it wasn't a word.  I hope Jane Austen wasn't docked by her editor for using it. I always hated that teacher.

My Ipod is named Bertie.  Bertie and Sylvie.....

that's remarkably similar to Sylvie and Bruno, a delightful book by Lewis Carroll.

I'm rather scared to leave.  And rather excited. But mostly it doesn't matter that much.

I'm watching Pride and Predjudice.  It's quite romantic.  I find myself most like Mary, the homely looking ignored younger sister who plays the piano poorly, but loves it, and observes awkwardly that 'balls are an irrational way of meeting people."

I wish I were more like Elizabeth...who wins the heart of the most honorable Mr. Darcy.

the best thing about Mr. Darcy is his character, and frankness.

hopefully i'll find someone like him.  and william wallace.  and howl.

if he is like those three in temprament, amiability, and character the looks will matter not a whit.

Sincerly,

- Bring It

The Worst Day Of Summer (hug donations welcome)

Today I was not pleased.

Today I had a flat out sucky day.  Which is OK, I mean, they usually happen all the time.

I just thought I'd tell you becuase I just spent three hours in my room curled up in the fetal position.

I was thinking: hey Natalie, you should call someone, you should talk about this.  And then I thought 'that's all the lame, who wants to hear your problems, they'll just end up not liking you.'

and then I thought "Wow.  you really need to get that fixed.  and by 'that' I mean the fact that I can only tell people good things that happen to me without feeling guilty.

And then I thought, 'hey, I can't just waltz into a hospital and have them fix that...I might have to like, work at it.  Shoot.'

So I figure making a blog about it will help in some way.

Also to note: I hate North Fargo.  I hate it.  I shall never agian be seen in it's lair.

Also to note:  I'm very irrationally frightened of college.  I know I make friends easily, I know that generally people like me.  I even know I'll have alot of fun.  But right now, (the past few days), all I can think about is how new and scary things are going to seem, and how I might get lost and no one will want to talk to me because I don't fit in.

So.....

Tomarrow is the first night of SNAKES ON A PLANE.  I'm very excited.

although to be sure I'm also very apprehensive of snakes....they're the worst creatures ever. ever.

So.....have yourself a merry little Christmas and I'll be back when September ends.

Optional Entertainment

Here are some lyrics you might not read to start us off.

It's all right, I'm ok, I really like doing things this way

All I have is what God gives, and that's all the life I'm meant to live.

 ~ John Reuben

This summer has been probably the best summer of my life.  I love it much.

Sonshine was all the amazing, I heard some of my favorite bands in concert (TFK, the newsboys didn't play but they are swish, audioA, roosevelt, and some things in the HM) listened to some great new music, and lost all my water weight before going to Europe.

the day after I got back from high intensity Sonshine, I went to Europe.

We landed in Amsterdam and flew to Rome

Here are the things I did in Europe.

ITALY:

-saw the Colloseum, Forum, and Pantheon.  Ate Gelato

-stayed in the most adorable country villa, had some great food and wine.

-Went to Venice, had a gondala ride.

-Florence, saw The David, and the slaves by Michelangelo. also saw Percius slays Medusa.  A-mazing.

-Went to a Tuscan village with a self cleaning pay toilet, I used all my Italian speaking skills.  they loved me.

VATICAN CITY

-st. pauls cathedral

-whatever else is in vatican city, the pope has a ton of stinking money.  a ton of it.

-sistene chapel, Michelangelo's paintings, Rapheals painting.

 AUSTRIA

-Stayed in a villa in the base of the alps

-was flanked by victorius yolders....which leads me to the fact that beer is gross, even in Europe.

GERMANY

-Neuschwanstien Castle

LIECHTENSTIEN

-drove through it....

SWITZERLAND

-Stayed at the top of a Swiss Alp....listened to an alpine hornist

-visited the Schilthorn and got over some of my fear of heights.  It was amazing being surrounded by the tops of the alps.  Saw parts of a James Bond that was filmed there.

FRANCE

-stayed in a normal French city for a night

-went to paris

-climbed the arc de triumphe

-climbed the Eiffel tower

-toured the Louvre

-Ran  through the Charles de Gaul airport to catch a flight

-went to the Louis Vaton, (veton?), Dolce & Gabana, Prada, and Fendi stores.  and the second biggest Virgin/Atlantic store that probably exsists.

I am now inspired to backpack through Europe, it was the best experience of my life.

for real.  If you want to backpack with me and fend off would be pickpockets and rapists, contact me and we'll talk.

Hanging out with Swiss, Jake, Sam, and Todd just makes me feel like I'm home.  Thanks guys.

PEACE
